Ask & Imagine

Ask and Imagine

I learned about something yesterday called a “brain dump” from my dear South African friend. Before beginning the day, write out every thought swirling in your head and set it aside. So simple.
.
As I began the day writing down a full page, things to do, and things I’m concerned about (and things I’m beating myself up about), and, and, and...I noticed I felt noticeably lighter! The hopes and beautiful plans He has prepared for the day were being weighed down by these swirling thoughts and keeping me from fully abiding in the Vine.
.
Then there it was...that slight glimmer of light over the horizon, that ‘suddenly’ moment that rushes in as a ray of strength for today and rising into bright hope for tomorrow. The beautiful, encouraging, light hearted faith that allows for the savoring of quiet moments of gentle stillness. Just to linger in the garden with Him, holding hands, thankful for the blessings, grateful for the miracles, abiding in rest, filled with encouragement and clarity to take on that morning list with JOY for the day ahead...but in no rush to go there just yet...maybe in a little while.
.
I hope you too find encouragement today in the releasing of the weighty things, exchanging them for the greater moments that are found in deeply abiding.
.
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭TPT‬‬
.
“Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭TPT‬‬
.
“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭TPT‬‬
