The Way & THE Way
The way and THE Way
I am not the way, but I can with all certainty point to THE Way. I may walk alongside you for a while and even help carry that heavy backpack you’ve been lugging around to give you some relief. If I get tired after the first mile, we can find a shady tree and take a rest. I’ll share with you some sips from this old dented canteen I have carried around for 50 years. I’ll tell you all about how it got filled up with the most incredibly satisfying living water I’ve ever tasted...and the most miraculous thing is that it never ever runs dry. I don’t really get how it works, it makes no sense at all to my logical mind, and it is almost impossible to explain, yet receiving it is so simple. I’ll also tell you how great it feels to walk around without one of those heavy backpacks and how you too can feel what it’s like to be virtually weightless...all the time. As we finish out mile two I just want you to know I’m going to hand your backpack to you. It’s not to be rude or mean or anything, I’m just not meant to carry your load past this point. I hope you won’t find another to carry it for you, that instead you will walk in THE WAY I’ve shared to journey with THE ONE that will never leave your side. He will always light the path from within, He will never forsake you, and He will be there to help you go through the stuff in that backpack so you can let it go forever...when you’re ready. Just sit under a shady tree with Him and unzip.
....
“The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.”
Psalms 23:1-2 TPT
.
“Take nothing extra on your journey. Just go as you are. Don’t carry a staff, a backpack, food, money, not even a change of clothes.”
Luke 9:3 TPT
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.”
Luke 4:18-19 TPT
