Trees & Fruit
Trees and Fruit
In the garden of our soul there are beautiful fields of colorful, vibrant, aromatic flowers, towering mountains as far as the eye can see and climb throughout our lives, valleys that have the potential to make for some very dark painful nights. There is life crawling and leaping and fluttering around...I often wonder if they represent the myriad of thoughts and ideas that spring alive each new day. Streams of living water quench our thirst for life as the mists rise up offering inspiration to refresh us with purpose and hope. Then there are those two trees...the one that breeds pride, and the One that provides abundant life. We are our own ecosystem created by the One that loves us more than we can ever understand or comprehend.
.
Each new day we awaken surrounded by the beauty of the garden and the presence of God waiting to walk with us and propagate life within our soul. Here in this stillness, when the atmosphere is calm, will we give attention to all of our busy thoughts, lists of things to do, offenses of yesterday, and anxiety for tomorrow? Or, choose to be still and know that He is God, waking with our soul found in Him? Basking in His presence, taking a deep breath, leaning on the Tree of Life and feeling the gentle breeze of the Spirit brush against our skin, enjoying those sweet moments talking with our very best friend, sharing the fruit He provides in abundance...that is what will fill us with the nourishment we need to live a life in perpetual rest.
.
Cherish and savor precious mornings with Him, hold them as vital and priceless for life. They reveal the faithfulness of our God, His provision along the path ahead, filled with hope, mercy and grace to love one another well.
....
“Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth.”
Psalms 46:10 TPT
.
“GOD ’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with GOD (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.”
Lamentations 3:22-24
