From my April 2020 hand painted watercolor collection, 31 Days of Mini Paintings.  Each of these 4”x4” pieces were inspired by my favorite places I have visited around the world, they each hold very special meaning for me and my loved ones.  As I painted, beautiful memories rushed in my heart of the laughter, joy, hugs, meaningful conversations, and breathtaking views that were inspired by our Creator.  I hope a spark of inspiration springs forth in you as you enjoy your own piece of our blue jewel earth.

At the heart of the Texas Hill Country, bluebonnets in full bloom, surround by miles of wild flowers and colorful blossom topped prickly cactus, sits a dome of granite with the most spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country. Surely the name has something to do with its natural sparkly glitter rock and magical sunsets, one can’t help but feel like all of the stresses of life have vanished like a vapor the moment your feet hit the ground. There is much to discover with its many cracks and crevices along the trail, a land of imagination and enchantment for children of all ages. I can’t help but wonder every time it’s exquisite pink beauty is beneath my feet, ‘Who decided a huge chunk of rock would be a great kitchen counter surface?’. It truly is breathtaking and worth the drive, making a day of it on the back country roads, stopping for a bite at the bbq stand, singing as loud as possible with the windows down and hair whipping in the wind.
