#30 New Braunfels, TX Print
Regular price $20.00From my April 2020 hand painted watercolor collection, 31 Days of Mini Paintings. Each of these 4”x4” pieces were inspired by my favorite places I have visited around the world, they each hold very special meaning for me and my loved ones. As I painted, beautiful memories rushed in my heart of the laughter, joy, hugs, meaningful conversations, and breathtaking views that were inspired by our Creator. I hope a spark of inspiration springs forth in you as you enjoy your own piece of our blue jewel earth.
“...and one for the pot”.
Family trips, a dozen under one roof, waking up to joyful hugs and kisses every morning, we had a lot of things in common, a good cup of coffee being one...Pike Place the first choice of my father in law, lovingly reminding me that it’s one scoop per 2oz of water, “...and one for the pot”. He always made sure the pot enjoyed the experience too. We sat around the table planning the day ahead, the love of my life serving up the very best hot steaming pancakes, as littles with adorable bed head came shuffling in. His legs crossed, newspaper wide open, glasses sliding down the brim of his nose, never too busy for the interruption of the littlest family member wanting to be atop his shoulders. I had spent many days in this little town not too far from home, so many activities to choose from, Stinky Falls, Landa Park, Schlitterbahn, Gruene Hall, Grist Mill, tubing or kayaking the river, Natural Bridge Caverns, shopping in Wimberley, but the memories staying in this little house along the Guadalupe River are the most cherished. Rolling green grass, tubes and floats and noodles strewn across the lawn, chairs welcoming a long shady nap under the towering cypress trees, ducks making their appearance much to the squealing joy of the littles, my sweet sister in law rushing out with a loaf of bread so they’d stay as long as possible, laughs and card games and a million fireflies in the dusk hour. I wish we could go back and savor it just a little longer.
