From my April 2020 hand painted watercolor collection, 31 Days of Mini Paintings.  Each of these 4”x4” pieces were inspired by my favorite places I have visited around the world, they each hold very special meaning for me and my loved ones.  As I painted, beautiful memories rushed in my heart of the laughter, joy, hugs, meaningful conversations, and breathtaking views that were inspired by our Creator.  I hope a spark of inspiration springs forth in you as you enjoy your own piece of our blue jewel earth.

Imagining my favorite places one painting a day culminates in the place of quick afternoon excursions and weekend camping trips, cooling down in the scorching Texas heat and bundling up for a winter hike, family float fests and escapes of needed solitude. This is the most active campsite we have stayed in, armadillos rummaging, deer curious to meet our dog, and we once met ‘Mr. Whiskers’, my little princess named our nightly raccoon visitor that had a hankering for Twinkies, deciding it was only right to share her new spongy discovery with him. Whether camping or kayaking or taking a tube down the river, it’s always so peaceful, relaxing and absolutely gorgeous. Dragonflies and butterflies hitching a ride on the top of an oar...or a toe. Shallow enough to stand, deep enough in spots to take a plunge, gentle enough to paddle back up stream with family in tow. Less than 45 minutes from our front door, it never feels like we are so close to home when we pass through the gate. Top it off with some live country music and a burger on the patio at Specht’s General Store and its a perfect Texas day.

Printed on archival quality 140lb (300gsm) 100% cotton acid free watercolor paper on Canon Pixma Pro9000 Mark 2 printer with genuine Canon Chromalife inks for beautiful long lasting color.  The white border is maintained for framing.
